I am so happy to announce this exciting opportunity for the Beauty Squad ladies to come out to meet and greet over brunch. We will dine, mingle, network, and have fun with our fellow sisters.
Brunch will be held at Creme Restaurant & Bar, the premier casual fine dining destination for all to enjoy in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. It is modern and beautiful. It comes highly recommended and the food is delicious! Did I mention it's also Black-owned?!
The local and sustainable neighborhood establishment in Columbia Heights aims to provide award-winning farm-to-table food, amazing service, and a friendly atmosphere. Check out their menu at www.creme14th.com.
In between greetings, pleasantries, and girl talk, we will discuss our recent accomplishments and strategize over our upcoming community outreach endeavors, such as our "Pretty for Prom" charity drive, plus more. I can already see the future efforts of the Beauty Squad and its mission are looking very bright, ladies. I look forward to exchanging dialogue and ideas about how we can uplift each other and our community.
Since our get-together will be on Emancipation Day, I thought it fitting to pay homage, gratitude, and respect to our ancestors who fought for us to be, have, and do what we can today. So, after brunch, in the spirit of sisterhood and in honor of The Emancipation Proclamation freeing our people from slavery, we will visit the new and note-worthy African American Museum. I hope to see my Beauty Squad sisters there!
